- State statutes, courts, and lawyer-licensing authorities when state law or credentials matter
- Credible secondary explanations used for context, not as a substitute for the controlling source
Lawyer-comparison factors
The publication compares verifiable process factors: relevant chapter experience, issue recognition, license status, public discipline information, documents reviewed, court and trustee familiarity, communication, written fee scope, payment terms, sponsorship disclosure, and review patterns. It does not calculate a universal lawyer score or predict a result.
Legal numbers and deadlines
A filing fee, median-income figure, debt limit, deadline, plan period, or local procedure is linked to an official source where practical. Time-sensitive figures are dated. When a general page cannot resolve a rule safely, it identifies what the reader should verify rather than guessing.
Local pages
City and state pages identify the relevant official-court path and issues to prepare. A city name does not prove venue; readers are directed to confirm their county, ZIP code, and court district. The pages do not invent local firms, phone numbers, ratings, or endorsements.
Updates and corrections
